AMC has released four new 11-second trailers just in time to satiate our hunger for all things zombies. The new teasers feature Glenn, Rick, Andrea and a boatload of zombies.
The clips don't reveal much about the Season 2 plot, but we do know our favorite zombie apocalypse survivors will stumble on a working farm and meet its inhabitants played by Lauren Cohan and Scott Wilson.
One big change recently was the replacement of Frank Darabont with Glen Mazzara, as the showrunner. It wasn't as though Darabont left on his own, either: he was fired.
Although the truth behind the firing may never be known, rumors are that AMC's decision to cut the budget for season two of the series, while raising the number of episodes from 6 to 13, was at least part of the problem. Dating to the previous fall, before the show's mega-hit status was known, some hoped there could be some negotiation undertaken after the great first season, but it was not be be. Reportedly, the network stuck with its decision for a lower budget.
At the same time, AMC also decided that "The Walking Dead" would no longer receive the 30 percent tax credit per episode that came with filming in Georgia. Instead, the network would hold on to that money.
Dude, stop smoking crack. This is one of the most compelling shows on television. In an age where we are subjected to 500 cop shows a week, 300 lame family sit coms, and 100 horribly animated series, Walking Dead is a breath of fresh air.
