Earliest impersonation
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S is a comparatively minor improve to the Xperia Arc, that mainly adds improved processor power. Still, the previous Arc's great screen, design and camera are still in place, so this is shaping up to be one spicy mobile.
Sony Ericsson isn't silly. It knows when it's created a inspired smart phone it's a worthy gamble to make another one just like it. That's why it's unleashing the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, a follow-up to the extraordinary Xperia Arc we reviewed back in March. The Xperia Arc S is out in October, and features a souped-up processor and some crazy 3D gubbins to boot. But is that sufficient to keep it ahead of the game?
We've moved out hands-on with the Xperia Arc S, and we're set to cram your mind with first impressions. So read on, and have a look at the snaps below too.

Design and feel
Somewhat we respected about the original Xperia Arc was its genuine form. As you've possibly guessed from the name, the phone itself has an arched back, so it eternally looks like it's performing some strange yoga move.
The model of the Xperia Arc S is closely matching. That's no terrible issue -- we think that curved rear is exceedingly elegant, and it means the center of the phone is truly lean, so when you're holding it in your hands, you'll almost not notice it's there. It's very brightness too, so lugging it about all day won't get annoying.

The top and bottom of the Xperia Arc S are curved, with three buttons along the bottom -- back, home and menu. You'll be using these, together with the Arc S' touchscreen, to navigate the Android 2.3 interface.
The screen is an additional feature we adored about the earliest Xperia Arc. Sony Ericsson calls it a 'Reality Display' but we desire to call it 'really good'. This is a 4.2-inch panel that outputs an astonishing stage of vividness. Best of all, the actual screen itself is extremely similar to the surface of the touchscreen, which lends the whole mobile a magnificently stylish experience.
