We decided to skip our usual swimming pool for one with water play features on one public holiday and finally decide on Jurong East Swimming Complex and were swept away by the amount of fun we had for just a dollar for our kid and 2 bucks for each of us.
The water fun kiddies pool is not too big but more than enough to entertain a kid for plenty of time. With a little “bridge” and tunnels and water that splish and splash from all directions, our little boy was contented to stay there forever till we lure him away to explore the lazy river.
There is also a sheltered sitting area with a view to the kiddies fun pool so adults don’t have to brave the sun to keep an eye on the kids.
Be sure to rent the big inflatable floats at the kiosk near the changing area when you have a chance. They ran out fast. At 2 bucks rental and 3 bucks for deposit, they were loads of fun. Even without those, the lazy river still offers loads of “adventure” for a six year old as we were eventually lead to a cave/tunnel with simulated currents and “rain”.
Pity we only decide to venture to the wave pool when it was almost time to go as we easily have the most fun there. It does not look like it’s going to be much fun until we actually went in there. The simulated wave and the water spraying from the rock feature have our boy squealing in delight and asking to go back over and over again.
Great value for the amount of fun we have over here. It was pretty crowded as we were there on a public holiday but it’s still loads of fun and well worth the price.
