more florence + the machine photos »The (recording) dog days are over for Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine, to borrow a lyrical phrase from her big hit.
Welch has finished recording songs for the group's sophomore release. The album was produced by Paul Epworth and recorded at Abbey Road in London. Epworth spilled the Flo-related beans when he tweeted, "There really are no weak ones" in the batch that the singer recorded. He also said that he is not sure how the singer's label will choose which cuts will be album-worthy for the follow up to the unfuckwithable Lungs.
"It's a weird record that sounds live in ways and like a machine in others, with sensitivity and power from both music and Flo's voice," Epworth posted. That's enigmatic, to say the least. But we're stoked.
