Filled Cupcake Recipes
This lemon filled cupcakes recipe is to die for. The key to remember is that lemon cupcakes don’t have to be boring. Feel free to experiment and try out different combinations of flavours, and don’t be afraid to be a little adventurous. When I attempted my first lemon filled cupcakes recipe a few months ago, I actually made the standard cupcake batter, and then created some lemon curd filling on the side. I made sure to experiment with baking two of the lemon cupcakes using the filling before I was daring enough to do the entire batch.
I was a little nervous to try that first recipe because I had never attempted filled cupcakes, and had definitely never baked them myself before. I was fully prepared to ditch the lemon filling all together, but to my surprise the lemon filled cupcakes recipe was a hit, in fact my family said that it was one of the better ”non standard” recipes I had tried up to that point. Since then I’ve been trying out all different lemon filled cupcake recipes and this one is my favourite to date. It comes from the website 52 kitchen adventures, and is pretty spectacular. As always, let me know what you think about it!
These are actually super easy to make and really aren’t as intimidating as they look. You just need to dig a small hole in the cupcake, fill it with the curd and top it with some icing. There’s not much to it, but there are so many varieties to this lemon filled cupcakes recipe.. If this recipe doesn’t sound appealing to you (although I don’t know it wouldn’t!) there are lots of other alternatives to the lemon curd. Caramel filled cupcakes are supposed to be just as fabulous.
